1-3-14 Where is the snow - Solomon, Alaska, USA
Observation: The Solomon-Council Road is usually closed by end of October. Last year we were camping down in Solomon until end of November. This year no Snow and the Road is still open almost to Council. Also the other two main roads out of Nome are still open to. WHERE'S the SNOW? Even the Bering Sea still has open water. People are waiting to go Crabbing but this weather is not cooperating!!! Because of no snow its hard to do subsistence that usually happens at this time. Ice Fishing, Crabbing etc. Richard Schulling
