Breakup of the Yukon River over the weekend has led to serious flooding in Eagle, Circle and Fort Yukon.

Between the fall of 2021 and the fall of 2022, APU students observed a dramatic decrease in the number of Peregrine Falcons between Eagle and Circle, Alaska.

This year the Eagle station's fall chum estimate is 23,828 fish. This is far below the escapement goal of 70,000 to 104,000 fish.

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities says the Taylor Highway is now closed at mile 54 because of a washout.

Bird observed well beyond its typical range.
