Early Pussy Willows in Denali Park.
Observation: Driving back from Fairbanks I stopped off at the South Denali View Point for a rest and to take in the view, on an amazing day. The shrub blooming with pussy willows, was in contrast to the fresh snow. Day time temperatures are getting pretty warm but it is still cold at night. Like recent early blooms reported in southern Alaska, these blooms in the Interior seem early this year. I wonder what the phenology network records show.
